VP of Product

I led product and design for Badgr, a platform for issuing and managing verifiable digital credentials, and Badgr Pathways, which connected those credentials into stackable learning and career pathways.

Badgr became Canvas LMS’s native badging solution. Instructure acquired Concentric Sky in 2022 and made the platform part of Canvas.

Embedded product designer

I work with A-dec as an embedded product designer across connected dental equipment, mobile applications, service software, and on-device interfaces. The work has ranged from remote diagnostics and preventive maintenance to sterilizer controls and compact LCD interfaces.

Working as part of the team keeps design decisions close to the equipment, the people who use and service it, and the engineering required to bring it to market.

Research and design lead

Portland was bringing permitting functions spread across six bureaus into a unified organization and needed a digital experience to match. I led research with residents, contractors, and staff from all six bureaus. The findings became a validated information architecture and design direction organized around residents’ tasks rather than the former bureau structure.

The process aligned the bureaus around a single vision and produced the city’s roadmap for Phase 1 development.

Sally is an enterprise, white-label platform for launching and administering special purpose vehicles. I led product design across existing and net-new functionality, bringing administration, compliance, and investor workflows into one coherent, responsive system.

Product design lead

BillTracker is a legislative tracking platform for lobbyists, advocacy organizations, and government teams. I led the redesign of the 17-year-old platform without disrupting workflows its users depend on during active legislative sessions.

The redesign launched in late 2024, and the relationship has continued with additional product design and frontend development. BillTracker serves more than 5,000 active users, tracks more than 10,000 bills, and delivers more than one million calendar invitations each year.

Product and interaction design

Designed an iPad patient record around an icon-driven timeline and touch interactions that helped clinicians find relevant chart information.

The interaction model resulted in US Patent 9,424,393, which names me as an inventor.
